We here at the DC9 at Night HQ are so excited for the El-P/Killer Mike/Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire/Despot show at the Granada Theater on Thursday, June 21, we paired up with them to make a whole night of it. To celebrate the show and the official beginning of summer, we’re doing what we do best: Stumbling from bar to venue to bar, much like the East Dallas Indie Crawl a few months back.

We’re calling it the DC9 at Night Crawl, and we’ll be starting at Single Wide around 6 p.m. for some pre-show drinks and mood-setting jams by DJ Heavy Sigh (that’s me). Then, it’s on to the Granada. Then, we all end up at Beauty Bar for DJ Sober’s Thursday night party. Then, we all run screaming into the night.

But have you heard this new Killer Mike album, R.A.P. Music? “Don’t Die” has become an unofficial anthem. El-P’s Cancer 4 Cure just dropped as well, and his NYC counterpart Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire brings the aesthetic flair. Collaborator Despot opens the night. Pencil us in, won’t you?
