Since its founding in 1980, the Observer has been the independent voice of Big D. We publish daily online and weekly in print, and we have always been free. Independent voices are more important than ever, and that’s why we need to hear from you.
That’s why we’re inviting you to participate in our audience survey.
Are we telling the stories you want to read about? Are we telling stories in the places you want to read, or watch, or listen to them? Are we doing enough to make you take a step back and say, “This is why I fucking love the Observer.”
By taking our audience survey, you’ll give us critical insight into what you expect (and want) from the Observer, and we’d love to hear what you have to say. Your responses will directly influence the direction of our publication, ensuring we continue to provide you with the stories that resonate most.
I remember in my early 20s, when I picked up my first alt-weekly. I read one story and heard the spicy tone that wasn’t afraid to talk to me like the rebellious weirdo I was. A newspaper staffed by creative and hard-hitting journalists that wasn’t afraid to say fuck? Covering bands I love? Was this real? I felt seen.
So this is our calling to all of our readers. The beautiful weirdos who love food, music, culture and news that holds power to account. Written like it was written by a friend. Our goal is to connect with you even more and help you feel seen.
Thank you for being a part of the Observer community. Together, we can make our coverage, website, social media, newsletters, membership program and overall publication even better.
