Iconic rocker and former White Stripes frontman Jack White is bringing his No Name Tour to Trees on Nov. 13.
Yes, that’s this Wednesday. Clear your schedules now or risk soul-crushing FOMO.
As much as we’d like to believe that this last-minute underplay makes Dallas special, it doesn’t (but don’t worry – the flagship location of his sports shop, Warstic, in Deep Ellum definitely makes us special). This is how White has been conducting his entire tour, announcing shows at the last minute at clubs across the country. We’ve been on the edge of our seats waiting for his Dallas show announcement to drop.
This last-minute concert is presented by promoter Kris Youmans’ At the Helm Presents.
While White can and has filled much bigger rooms (his last North Texas show was at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory), the charmingly seedy Trees feels like a fitting backdrop for his nervy, bluesy brand of rock. And in general, a string of secret shows feels like a fittingly cryptic way to support an album called No Name, which was just nominated for Best Rock Album at the 67th Grammy Awards on Friday.
Tickets will be available at noon on Tuesday, and fans can RSVP on Laylo now. At noon on Wednesday, a limited supply of student tickets will be available at Trees’ box office for $25. These tickets require a valid student ID and are limited to one ticket per person.
