Despite being one of the better local coffee shop options in the North Texas area, Pax & Beneficia typically resides around the outskirts of Dallas. It has popular locations in Las Colinas, Grapevine, Plano, two in Fort Worth and one in Uptown near the American Airlines Center.
For years now, Pax & Beneficia has been a staple of those communities, especially at the bustling location in Las Colinas next to the Mandalay Canal Walk. Whenever we stop in, a Turkish coffee is a necessity. Looking for the sweeter side? Try the Spanish latte with condensed milk or the Sunshine, which combines lavender, vanilla and fresh lemon into summer drink perfection. Those drinks are Pax signatures available at every location and soon to be enjoyed right in our neighborhood.
This weekend, the shop is holding a grand opening party for its new Deep Ellum location, which marks its second in Dallas proper, along with a storefront in Victory Park. The Deep Ellum one is taking over the space formerly occupied by Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee and Social, or LTH Coffee, on Canton Street. It’s just a block over from the Bomb Factory, and a stone’s throw from the heart of Deep Ellum nightlife.
The party is this Saturday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everything from Pax will be 50% off, and special opening gifts will be handed out to the first 100 customers.
They’ll be flanked by several North Texas vendors, including Creamwala ice cream from Coppell and Allen, bagels from Bagelology in Frisco, a book booth and music from our resident literary outpost, Deep Vellum.
