Adamn Killa is a Chicago rapper and viral internet personality who is taking his independent grind to the next level.

The 29-year-old rapper has been creating music for several years, collaborating on songs with artists such as Yung Lean and Lil Uzi Vert. Kanye West tried to sign him to G.O.O.D. Music in 2018. He has since grown his cult following to a massive audience, known for announcing pop-ups in cities where thousands of fans gathered to see him.

He has been receiving another wave of attention, having recently released his album Generational Run over the summer. He just came off touring with Chance the Rapper, who is on his own comeback after releasing Star Line.

He also started TikTok trends like “Arrest Me Daddy,” which sees him provoking an officer in a sexual way.

During an interview with Bootleg Kev, he talked about being independent and what it would take for him to sign with a major label. “It would have to be a very great deal,” he said. “I get offered deals all the time now, and I’m at a point where I have reached a level where I am financially stable on my own. I was doing music for like 15 years, so I made it to this point without a label. I might’ve needed them before. But now, I feel like I don’t need them.”

Killa is coming to the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Saturday, Nov. 22, performing at the Haltom Theater in Haltom City at 8 p.m. On his Instagram, he announced that he was selling tickets for $1, taking a page out of J. Cole’s Dollar & A Dream Tour with a ticket tier that’s total fan appreciation. The tickets sold out instantly.

Killa also told Bootleg Kev about his interactive fan base. “My fan base is pretty crazy. When people come to see it in person, it’s different. I’m not technically the most famous person on paper right now. If you see how my fans interact with me, they’ve been comparing it to Michael Jackson,” he said.

We dug through some of his songs, which all have tons of streams. Our favorites are “Fall On” and “Ten.”
