The weekend before Thanksgiving is pretty stacked with things to do.

If you aren’t tired from the Deep Ellum Block Party, Zounds Sounds’ 20th anniversary celebration at Sons of Hermann Hall and Zounds Sounds B-Side, or the other concerts happening, you’ve got to go see Chris Lake.

The British producer released an excellent 15-track collection, Chemistry, independently back in July via his label, Black Book Records. He has an ear for club-forward basslines and catchy vocals, preferring to use his creativity to craft music that feels good to him, with his signature flair.

Lake has a milestone year with Chemistry debuting at the top of the Billboard charts, a North American tour, a collaboration with Sammy Virji and a Grammy nomination for his remix of The Chemical Brothers’ classic “Galvanize.” There’s plenty to celebrate as he heads to Dallas for two nights – Saturday, Nov. 22 and Sunday, Nov. 23 – at Silo Dallas.

In press materials, Lake spoke about what keeps him going after 20 years in his career of making people dance and leaving an impression on the culture.

“It gives me this increased love of the power of a single song and the effect that it can have on anyone’s life,” he says. “I love the idea that I have this blessing to make a song and give one or more people that feeling. It’s just amazing, and I feel like as the years go on, I get better and better at doing it.”

Chris Lake Chemistry Album Tour Tickets
