On an Instagram post Thursday afternoon, comedian Amy Schumer told her followers and fans that she must postpone her Texas shows.
In the photo she posted alongside the note, Schumer, who was supposed to perform at Winspear Opera House Thursday night, is in a hospital bed. In the post she says her second trimester has not been easy despite what many people told her. She has hyperemesis, which is “severe nausea, vomiting, weight loss, and electrolyte disturbance. Mild cases are treated with dietary changes, rest, and antacids. More severe cases often require a stay in the hospital so that the mother can receive fluid and nutrition through an intravenous line,” according to americanpregnancy.org.
Schumer apologized for missing her Texas shows but says she’ll be back as soon as she is better.
