Art With a Side of Soup
Soup dinners aren’t normally associated with high stakes, but Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas will change that this Sunday when they host CADD FUNd: Winner Takes All at 3015 at Trinity Groves. The $40 price of admission will get you fed and the chance to hear 6 local MFA students or graduates present proposals for as-yet-unrealized art projects. Three jurors representing the Dallas Museum of Art, The Grace Museum and The San Antonio Museum of Art chose this year’s finalists, with 4 hailing from UNT and 2 from SMU. The feast begins at 5:30 p.m., and afterwards you’ll have the opportunity to vote for your favorite project. The winner, to be announced that night, will walk away with all of the evening’s proceeds. Buy your ticket in advance at caddallas.net, as they won’t be available at the door.
Sun., Nov. 16, 5:30 p.m., 2014
