“That ship has sailed,” is a familiar lament, most often used to describe missed opportunities. But sometimes the sailing ship of opportunity is a dinghy that we’re best rid of, like the “carefree” days of our youth. There are those who seek to recreate the sag-free days, minus the hardships that went with them, through nips, tucks and de-wrinkling injections. Does it work? A one-woman and keyboardist show exposes the plastic phenomenon through musical comedy. Laura Ainsworth’s My Ship Has Sailed hits the stage at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pocket Sandwich Theatre, 5400 E. Mockingbird Lane. Admission is $12. Call 214-821-1860 or visit lauraainsworth.com.

Wed., July 12, 7:30 p.m.
