With a title like The Appeal, one would think that the Undermain Theatre’s new production would be some kind of courtroom drama. Perhaps a stage adaptation of a classic episode of Law & Order. Or possibly a musical version of The Practice complete with a tap-dancing Dylan McDermott. You’d be wrong, however, since The Appeal is actually an experimental comedic depiction of four English Romantic poets—Lord Byron, Samuel Taylor Coleridge and brother and sister duo William and Dorothy Wordsworth. Catch it now through May 19 at the Undermain, 3200 Main Str. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 8:15 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets are $15 to $25. Call 214-747-5515 or visit undermain.com.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8:15 p.m.; Wednesdays, Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: April 21. Continues through May 19
