I thought Thomas Allen made furniture, but apparently that’s Ethan Allen, so now I’m a lot more excited about the Thomas Allen exhibit opening Thursday at Light & Sie, 129 Leslie St. Instead of boring furniture, it will feature selections from Allen’s pulpy multimedia universe, including some new animations and a “tableaux morte.” (Wikipedia doesn’t even know what that means, so I can only assume—based on 3 years of high school Latin and little else—that Allen is treating us all to a table of death. So maybe he makes furniture after all. Deadly furniture.) Meet Allen and compliment his deadly furniture from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday. The exhibit runs through February 16. Call 214-745-2255 or visit lightandsie.com.

Tuesdays-Saturdays. Starts: Jan. 10. Continues through Feb. 16, 2008
