Since June 27, HCG Gallery has proudly displayed the work of Michael Ledoux and Shane Pennington (No relation to Chris or Chad…as far as we know, anyway. ) in an exhibit entitled 2 Nights, 2 Artists, 2 Openings, which we are henceforth retitling 1 Night, 2 Artists, 1 Opening, since we already missed the first one. Both artists dabble in a number of media, from abstract paintings to video installations and sculpture. This Friday the gallery (located at 1130 Dragon St., Suite 190) hosts a reception for Pennington, whose work has been showcased near and far, from Texas to Australia. He’s also an all-around swell fellow, having contributed art to charities like the SPCA, the Human Rights Campaign and the North Texas Special Olympics. High five him from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.
