If someone said: “Close your eyes and picture the perfect pizza,” we’d all picture a different pie. Sure, the average pizza-lover may think hand-tossed, but others are partial to mega-thin, wide New York slices or gooey, cavernous Chicago deep dish. Some prefer calzones all-together. Central Market’s offering a cooking class, Pizzas: NY vs. Chicago & Calzones, that covers it all. The class takes place at Central Market, Lovers Lane at Greenville Avenue, on Tuesday from 6:30 to 9 p.m., and cost $55 per person. Open enrollment is closed, but there is a waiting list and plenty more adventurous cooking opportunities at centralmarket.com.
