Of course Dad didn’t like the grooming kit you got him for Father’s Day. Why would you expect him to like something that involves grooming? Make it up to him with a laugh or two along with some fatherly observations from Craig Shoemaker, whose comedy ranges from imitations of the cast of the Andy Griffith Show to pot jokes to boasts from his alter ego, The Lovemaster, about fitting a dozen doughnuts on something that’s as hard as Final Jeopardy. Having just taped a special called Daditude, he’ll probably throw in some riffs on fatherhood too. He performs at the Addison Improv 8 p.m. Thursday, 8 and 10:30 p.m. Friday, 6:30 and 9 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets ($17 and $20) and more information are at 972-404-8501 or improv.com.
Thu., June 23, 8 p.m.; Fri., June 24, 8 & 10:30 p.m.; Sat., June 25, 6:30 & 9 p.m.; Sun., June 26, 7:30 p.m., 2011
