If you Google image search the name “George W. Bush,” most of the results are either photos of Bush standing in front of an American flag, looking patriotic, or shots of him making those goofy faces he was always making back when he was President of this fair nation. But, what you don’t see are painted portraits of W. by Texan artist Ike E. Morgan, and that’s a shame. Since 2003, when Newsweek first asked Morgan to capture our 43rd President on canvas, he has created numerous likenesses of W. But, while Morgan is probably best known for his colorful presidential portraits, he also occasionally tackles folks like Xena, Mona Lisa and Rick James. And, now through November 14, you can check out Morgan’s newest works at Webb Gallery in Waxahachie, 209 W. Franklin Street, in an exhibit called You Could Say That. For gallery hours and more information, call 972-938-8085, or visit webbartgallery.com.

Saturdays, Sundays, 3-7 p.m. Starts: Oct. 2. Continues through Nov. 14, 2010
