Dreading the death of summer and the dawn of classes? Get motivated! Kids Who Care will present its summer musical District XI–Believe in Me! inspired by 10-year-old Dalton Sherman’s 2008 keynote speech to Dallas ISD teachers and staff. “I can do anything, be anything, create anything, dream anything, become anything, because you believe in me,” Sherman proclaims. Not only will this production entertain, but it will also initiate powerful, creative conversations about our education system as it encourages youth to believe in themselves. The cast features area youth, as well as international students involved with Kids Who Care. The first performance is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Scott Theatre in Fort Worth, followed by weekend performances at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. with tickets ranging from $10 to $18.
