A rodeo in Texas is always a big to-do, and Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is perhaps the biggest to be done. Friday, you can hit up the indoor rodeo at 2 and 7:30 p.m. to take in bull riding, barrel racing and the long-awaited return of Whiplash, the world-famous cowboy monkey. No word on where Whiplash has been, but we hope he’s been sunning on a beach in the Cayman Islands. You can also peruse the cattle, goat, rabbit and horse shows, and take in the vast amounts of fried food. The State Fair of Texas left a fried hole in our hearts, and we need to plug it with something equally fattening. The rodeo runs through February 9 at Will Rogers Memorial Center (3401 W. Lancaster Ave.) and tickets range from $19 to $25. Visit fwssr.com.
