Usually, there’s nothing funny about murder, but when the crime becomes a musical, there’s room to bend the rules. In The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, a Nazi spy and a German cabaret entertainer–along with the rest of the guests in a New York mansion–try to expose the mysterious murderer without becoming the next victim as guests drop dead one by one. The musical has all the ingredients for a classically hilarious murder mystery: a bad storm, swiveling bookcases, hidden passageways…and missing meat cleavers! Directed by Andy Baldwin, co-founder and executive artistic director of Forum Theatre Company, this performance is guaranteed to change the way people laugh about death.
