Everyone remembers the first time they saw the Nazi’s face melt. Or the time that giant propeller… well, never mind. It’s hard to believe there are people who have never seen Raiders of the Lost Ark. Those who don’t know that whip-smart Indiana Jones (the Harrison Ford) is terrified of snakes but committed to saving pieces of history no matter the cost. Those who have never seen him bag a gorgeous trinket (read that however you want). Regardless of how many times you’ve seen Raiders, you should take advantage of the opportunity to see it on the big screen, via a new 35mm print, at the Texas Theatre, 231 W. Jefferson Blvd. in Oak Cliff, this Wednesday. The 1981 film is rated PG, but that’s based on the ’80s rating system. That said, we turned out fine, so bring the kids. Visit thetexastheatre.com for tickets and to view the trailer.
