We’re just speculating here, as we can get winded after an intense round of darts. But it seems like after retiring from a grueling, aerobic, high-impact sport you might have some competitive spirit left, but would prefer a game where you’re not likely to suffer a concussion or fracture a femur. Which is why bowling, Super “Bowl” puns aside, seems like the perfect competition for an NFL Charities event. Plus, any sport that you can play while smoking and drinking is our kind of sport. At the NFL Charities Super Bowl Celebrity Classic 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Main Event Lanes (4801 E. Citylake Blvd., Fort Worth), donors are paired with former players–including some bold-type Super Bowl ring-sporting Hall of Famers. Call or e-mail tournament director Nick Nicolosi for sign-up and more info at 201-489-0049 or n.nicolosi@verizon.net.
