Two Sundays back, Identity Festival — an EDM (electric dance music) festival — stopped at Gexa Energy Pavilion in Fair Park. The all-day music festival brought in EDM acts from around the world, and additionally, kids from all over the metroplex. Inside, neon-bursting bodies scampered between the stages and merchant tents sporting Day-Glo hats, shirts, shoes, bodysuits, bikinis, underwear, sunglasses, bandanas and peculiar shaggy legwarmers.
“They’re called fuzzies or fluffies,” explained a young girl sporting a navy blue pair. “You can get them at Electric Boutique or online.”
The so-called fuzzies, or fluffies were quite literally everywhere, even in spite of the blazing hundred-and-something degree temperature. What once thrived solely in dimly lit nightclubs escaped, making an appearance in broad daylight. Is it only a matter of time before fuzzies hit Nordstrom shoe displays? Guess we’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime, check out some photos of our favorite fuzzy leg accessories from Identity.
