I was always told those little white bumps you get on your tongue that hurt really bad were from telling a lie. That thought used to scare the crap out of me, and even though now I know they are inflamed taste buds or something like that, I still don’t tell people when I have one for fear they might ask what I’ve been lying about. In Disney’s Pinocchio, he had a different affliction when he told a lie. A big nose–too bad they didn’t have plastic surgeons back then. Pinocchio will be showing for its only performance, as a part of the Broadway for Kids series, today at 2:30 p.m. in the Eisemann Center’s Hill Performance Hall, 2351 Performance Drive in Richardson. Tickets are $10 to $20 and can be purchased at eisemanncenter.com or by calling 972-744-4657.
