Trump Rally Speaker Hinchcliffe Remembered for Racist Tirade Against Dallas Comedian

The "comedian" who called Puerto Rico "garbage" has a history of making racist jokes.

Last week’s presidential rallies proved again that decorum no longer has a place in the once-somber world of political pageantry. On Wednesday, singer Loomis fumbled through an off-key delivery of the National Anthem at a debate held by the Free & Equal Elections Foundation that was followed by an F-bomb on live TV. (When are singers going to learn to keep it simple? It’s a tough song, and if you’re not Whitney, you’re just not.)

But far more offensive was the Tony Hinchcliffe speech at the Trump rally in Madison Square Garden on Sunday. The Austin-via-Los-Angeles comedian tried to ingratiate himself with the MAGA crowd (even, and maybe especially, the Latinos For Trump audience) by making racist jokes about the Latino community, specifically how they “love making babies.”

“There’s no pulling out. They don’t do that. They come inside. Just like they did to our country,” he said.

Hinchcliffe should get a pass for this one, having been born to a father who should’ve pulled out. The comedian has talked about his father having been married to another woman and keeping his birth a secret.

He also called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage,” which prompted responses from famous Puerto Ricans such as J.Lo and Bad Bunny.
And, as an equal-opportunity racist, Hinchcliffe added that he “carved watermelons” with a Black audience member and made some tired jokes about Jewish people being stingy.

Hinchcliffe has since been roasted by his fellow comedians, including a few tweets calling for Will Smith to once again slap a comedian. Remember the days when racist rants got a national treasure, such as Seinfeld's Michael Richards, canceled for life? Hinchcliffe's career has only grown since he mocked the #StopAsianHate movement in 2021.

Just a few years ago, the comedian unleashed a racist rant against Dallas comedian Peng Dang. As we reported in May 2021, Dang posted a video of a comedy show in which he introduced Hinchcliffe with the caption: “Last week in Austin, I got to bring up Tony Hinchcliffe. This is what he said. Happy Asian (AAPI) Heritage Month!”

In his set, Hinchcliffe calls Dang a “filthy little fucking chink" and mocks Dang's set by using a fake Asian accent.

"After he said 'filthy chink' and whatever, he did an Asian accent on certain lines from my previous jokes," Dang told the Observer. "And he did it mockingly. As you can hear, I do not have that accent."

Dang said he had lived in the U.S. for 11 years.

"Alabama, Georgia, Texas, all in the South. I never had even once heard somebody call me that word," he says. "And all of a sudden, somebody from Hollywood was using that word on me. I was just very shocked."

Hinchcliffe’s Wikipedia was then updated to read: "Tony Hinchcliffe (born June 8, 1984) is an American comedian, writer, and certified racist."

Hinchcliffe regularly tours with bro king Joe Rogan and is host of the Kill Tony podcast.

On Monday, The Washington Post reported that Trump campaign advisor Danielle Alvarez said in a statement that Hinchcliffe’s “joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign."
