Portillo’s Beef Bus Redux

We finally succeed in tracking down the Portillo’s Beef Bus and try some of their dogs and beef sandwiches while we wait for the official opening in The Colony in January.

Rex and Stephanie Hyewon Pak have opened a new location of their Aloha Chicken and Shrimp, which started in a gas station in Watauga, serving up combos of chicken, shrimp and bulgogi beef with a Hawaiian twist.

First Look: Ninja Grill, Hibachi Eating Without Hibachi Seating

Occasionally one might be in the mood for some hibachi-prepared Japanese food without all the pomp and circumstance that usually accompanies such an outing: Sitting around a communal hibachi grill with strangers in often uncomfortable seating (or worse yet for old knees, just pillows), having to endure all the requisite hibachi meal shtick that the chef feels compelled to perform.

Misti Norris Guests at Nonesuch for a Combined Tasting Menu

Misti Norris has a full-time restaurant, various pop-ups and an extended residency at Attalie, yet still finds time to guest chef. Most recently she created, prepared and served half the tasting menu at Nonesuch, a restaurant in Oklahoma City that was named America’s Best New Restaurant by Bon Appetit in 2018.
