The Hotel St. Germain on Maple Avenue will host a Halloween brouhaha this weekend with a tarot card reading alongside a wine and amuse-bouche dinner served by Chef Chad Martin. What better place to channel your supernatural subconscious than 100-year-old Victorian mansion?
The evening begins with a Black Widow Vodka cocktail served in the dimly lit courtyard followed by a candlelight five-course meal paired with spooky wines: Freakout from Luna Vineyards, Velvet Devil Merlot, Phantom Zinfandel and Château Coucheroy Graves.
A few of the items being served for dinner are butternut squash soup with apple and cinnamon, seared foie gras, prime beef tenderloin filet, lemon sole and a dark chocolate torte with Chocolat Moldova.
During the evening, each guest can meet with a tarot card reader in the St. Germain library. Honestly, it all sounds a little spooky and awesome. But if dabbling in the spiritual world just isn’t your thing, maybe you could talk the tarot card reader into a little Gin Rummy.
The Tarot Card Wine Dinners are this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Call ahead for reservations: 214-871-2516. Or visit their website for details.
