Ham I Am! is a little Dallas company which sells smoked hams, smoked peppered hams, smoked chickens, smoked brisket, smoked bacon, and, slightly incongruously, Brie. All these products are delicious and delivered to your door, but the product to put at the top of your list is the Ozark Trails bacon. Bacon has taken its place, with Brie and butter, as one of the foods that most of us can’t eat. It’s hard to believe that such rich food used to be everyday breakfast fare. However, since it’s now a special occasion indulgence, be sure it’s the best it can be. The Ozark Trails peppered bacon is so superior to most other bacon that it hardly seems like the same food, and it’s also much harder to resist. Thick and meaty, it’s smoked for nearly 20 hours, flavored with brown sugar and cracked black pepper.
