The West Village has been churning out restaurant concepts for 25 years. Next up is Hudson House, which is going into the space previously occupied by Mi Cocina for more than 20 years. Hudson House has some big Mambo-Taxi shoes to fill, but it comes with a few tricks that will likely earn it favor among its neighbors quickly.
This is the 10th Hudson House restaurant. The upscale but low-key spot is designed to channel East Coast oyster bar energy. Think white linen shirts and overly tanned Boomers sipping martinis at the bar. That’s the dream, right?

This new location at 3699 McKinney Ave. will officially open on Wednesday, Feb. 4.
Hudson House opened its first location in Highland Park in 2017, and the concept has become popular for its happy hour, which is anchored by half-priced martinis and a dandy cheeseburger.
The Menu at Hudson House
East Coast oysters are delivered daily here. There are seven sushi rolls and an “American” tuna tower, and a Seafood Bouquet loaded with East Coast oysters, shrimp cocktail and tuna tartare. Other house specialties include fish tacos, pan-seared redfish, chicken parm and maple-planked salmon. Oh, and the mac and cheese is a fever dream.

The martini menu is 10 deep, all priced at $16 and includes a classic, Bleu and Gold (blue cheese salt and housemade blue cheese olives), lemon and espresso. The house cocktail menu, with all your basics, runs from $14 – $16.
Happy hour runs weekdays from 3 to 6 p.m. at the bar only, where you can get half-priced martinis, bellinis and wines by the glass, along with $3 East Coast oysters and $10 cheeseburgers.
