Jake Paul To Appear at Dog Haus in Arlington this Sunday

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson will go toe-to-toe with Jake Paul, a YouTuber turned professional boxer, on Friday, Nov. 15, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The bout will also be streamed on Netflix.

The heavyweight fight between the 58-year-old Tyson and 27-year-old Paul is not only a clash of eras but quite frankly, cross-culture discord: Brooklyn-born Tyson is one of the greatest boxers of all time with 50 wins, 44 by knockout, representing the legacy of the sport. Tyson grew up causing mayhem on the streets of New York. He was bullied, he was in a gang and he was sent to a boys’ school, where he learned to box. He’s now a vegan, raises homing pigeons and says things like, “Discipline is doing what you hate to do, but nonetheless doing it like you love it.”

Jake Paul became famous by posting comedic videos on Vine and amassing millions of online followers before landing a role on Bizaardvark on the Disney channel. Since taking on boxing, the 6’1″ Cleveland native has a record of 10 and 1 in his young career.

Paul is also a franchise owner of the fast-casual chain Dog Haus. The spot has sports bar energy and serves burgers, hot dogs, sausages and wings, and there’s a full bar.

Paul will be at the Arlington location of Dog Hause at 4000 Bagpiper Way in The Highlands shopping center, just off Interstate 20, on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m.

The press release promises exclusive giveaways, drink specials and a chance to meet Paul in person. He’ll pour beers, take some orders and cut some ribbons.

The first 200 guests in line at 2 p.m. with the Haus Rewards app (always with the app these days) will receive a free Jake Paul meal, which is three jumbo wings tossed in “El Gallo SAAUUCCEE” served with fries and ranch.

Note: The website for the Arlington Dog Haus says it’s closed. However, new management has recently taken over, and the spot will be open on Sunday.
