Fellas, you may want to think hard before you nab a box of Godiva Chocolate Top Chef Just Desserts Collection for your wife this holiday season.
One of the four chocolates in the set designed by the Ritz Carlton’s executive pastry chef Morgan Wilson, who won the Godiva deal in a quick-fire challenge, is a sugary homage to failed marriages.
All of the chocolates are meant to signify milestone moments in finalist Wilson’s life, including his enrollment in culinary school, casting on Top Chef Just Desserts and divorce.
Wilson’s acai, rose and berry ganache truffle is folded in bittersweet chocolate because, according to a press release, “unfortunately, the marriage did not last, while the açai represents his ex-wife’s Brazilian heritage.”
The chocolates will be sold at Godiva stores nationwide.
