‘The World is Healing’: Rodeo Dallas to Open New Location Soon

You can’t keep a good party down.

Rodeo Dallas definitely knows how to throw a good party, but it comes with a bit of tension from its neighbors. The bar opened its first Dallas location in Deep Ellum, and it quickly became one of the most popular bars in the city, selling more than $600K in booze each month over the summer, until the plug was pulled in August.

This summer was not a good one for Deep Ellum, a historic entertainment district just south of downtown. There were multiple shootings, including fatalities. Post-midnight chaos in the area was a boon for businesses, except for Rodeo, which was thriving.

The Dallas City Attorney’s office warned the bar of frequent disturbances, leading its landlord, Westdale Management, to initially lock the bar out in early August. Rodeo reopened with a temporary restraining order, which was then challenged by neighboring property owner Asana Partners, which cited “unsafe and chaotic conditions.” A Dallas County judge closed the bar, and after another hearing, it was determined that the bar would remain shuttered until a full hearing, which is expected to take place in spring 2026.

Well, a tip from the hotline last night suggested that Rodeo has found a new home.

According to an Instagram post, Rodeo Uptown is now hiring for a new location at 2922 N. Hall St., formerly the site of the Palms Bar. We’ve reached out to Rodeo Uptown to find out whether this is intended to replace Rodeo in Deep Ellum or is an additional location.

And according to a video on the post, they’re opening this weekend. The bar is also holding interviews this week.
