Plenty of Dallas restaurants are hastily trying to open their doors before the busy holiday season. Here are some of the most anticipated openings of the year.

Le PasSage and Rose Café

4205 Buena Vista St. Le PasSage and Rose Café are fresh off their grand opening as two of the most anticipated projects this year. These sister spots were both brought to life by French-born Dallas restaurateur Stephan Courseau and architect Michael Hsu, who designed Uchi and Uchiba. Inside Le PasSage, the flavors of Southeast Asia are backed by Michelin-starred chef Bruno Davaillon and served amid Western elegance and Asian charm. Rose Cafe has the same French-Asian theme with a charming atmosphere inspired by a rose garden. They’e both inside the Terminal along the Katy Trail. Both recently opened.

3005 Maple Ave. Texas billionaire Tilman Fertitta and two New York restaurateurs are opening Catch, another high-profile restaurant with locations in Miami, New York, Las Vegas, Aspen and other places where diners bring deep pockets. The restaurant is in the recently refurbished Maple Terrace in Uptown, a 100-year-old building where Elvis Presley once stayed. The Dallas version of Catch is 16,000 square feet, with a two-level outdoor patio, a signature private room and a menu full of elegant seafood, sushi and steak. A portion of the menu promises sashimi flown in from the famed Toyosu Market in Japan. Projected opening: Friday, Nov. 8.

Victory Social

2323 Victory Ave. Victory Social is a new food hall coming to Victory Park, just south of the American Airlines Center. The 12,000-square-foot space has a bunch of different food stalls serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. Think of it as an Uptown Legacy West. The opening date isn’t set, but there’s a social on Thursday, Nov. 14, so we expect opening around that time.

DOMODOMO

Related

2681 Howell St.In 2015, DOMODOMO opened as the first hand-roll bar in New York City. Now, those creative handrolls, sushi and signature “DOMAKASE” (an affordable omakase) are coming to Dallas. The New York restaurant earned a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide (a star’s more casual cousin). It will be the restaurant’s fourth location and the first in Texas, opening in the overhauled Quad. Projected opening: Late fall 2024 as per their Instagram.

Claremont

4343 W. Northwest Highway Claremont is a fresh new restaurant concept from the owners of Beverly’s, Clifton Club and Green Point Seafood & Oyster Bar. Brothers Greg and Nik Katz are taking over the former Suze space and will open a new project inspired by their upbringing in South Africa. The goal is to create an affordable neighborhood restaurant in the Preston Hollow neighborhood using seasonal Texas products, Greg told Paper City Mag. Projected opening: November 2024

Pillar

Related

408 N. Bishop Ave.Chef Peja of Mot Hai Ba is opening his second restaurant in the old Boulevardier spot in Bishop Arts. We don’t know much, but Pillar is said to be a seasonal contemporary restaurant with American fare. Whatever it is, we’re excited. If he’s cooking it, we’re eating it. Projected opening: TBD, Fall 2024 (Someone commented, “It’s almost time” under their most recent Instagram post, and chef responded, “Yes, sir.” The wait is almost over.)

Sí Sí Sí

3223 N. Fitzhugh Ave. Brandon Hays and Brittany Grignon of Goldie’s are partnering with local cookbook author Alex Snodgrass (The Defined Dish is a staple for home cooks) and her husband, Clayton, for a private tequila spot. The 70-seat lounge will serve more for education purposes than to party and will be invitation-only (but without the initiation fees). The renderings from Coeval Studio look sleek and sexy. Projected opening: TBD, but our fingers are crossed for late 2024.

Restaurant Openings Pushed to 2025

Great things take time, so these projects have been pushed to next year.

Elephante, a coastal Italian restaurant from LA, is slated to open in the new 23Springs office tower, the 26-story high-rise under construction at Cedar Springs and Maple Avenue.

Delilah, a roaring ’20s-style supper club, will open in the Design District with three private rooms and stages with burlesque dancers. Dinner and dance. Scandalous.

Evelyn promises to take us on a journey to a different era off Turtle Creek Boulevard, but this one is still a little ambiguous. Nevertheless, there will be drinks and, likely, a steak.

Little Ruby’s is a New York-based Australian cafe that will bring more down-under cafe life to Dallas. It will be in the new 23Springs office tower, alongside Elephante, next door to Uchi.

Docent Steak & Lounge, the Harwood Hospitality Japanese steakhouse, was supposed to open this summer but is being pushed to next year.

Avra will be a high-end Mediterranean escape at The Crescent Court, serving beautifully prepared coastal Greek food.

Frenchie is another of Steven Courseau’s (La PasSage, Knox Bistro and Georgie) projects. His most casual French bistro yet will be on the corner of Preston Road and Northwest Highway, where the old Corner Bakery used to be.

Night Rooster, an Asian spot from the group behind The Saint, has been pushed to 2025 due to permit issues. This new restaurant is in the Design District (across from Bellini’s) and will have a sprawling rooftop bar.

Two Hands is another Aussie cafe opening in Dallas, serving everything from breakfast through dinner (coffee to cocktails) with a focus on a healthy lifestyle. It is also set to open in The Quad.
