If you’re lucky, you’ll witness the baker pull several from the oven as you walk through the door. Not everything is quite that fresh, but everything you see was baked that morning, from the croissants to the éclairs to the massive boules on the shelves behind the counter. Come in the afternoon and get a sandwich made on the same bread. Ham, cheese and butter sounds rather plain, but it’s one of the best ways to enjoy a baguette.
