On Friday, Nov. 7, the 2026 Grammy nominations have been announced.
This story will be updated periodically throughout the day as we watch the livestream, adding nominees across all 95 Grammy categories.
The 2026 Grammys are scheduled to take place on Feb. 1, 2026, live at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The Grammys will also introduce two new categories: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover. In the country field, the existing Best Country Album Category has been renamed Best Contemporary Country Album.
“Each year during our Awards & Nominations review, our focus is on refining our rules, uncovering anything that is no longer working, and ensuring we are celebrating our creative community in the most meaningful way,” he told Grammy.com. “I’m thrilled that many of this year’s changes … allow us to honor even more creators. That’s always a positive outcome for me. But even more importantly, these are much-needed updates that ensure those who are making significant contributions to the musical process are properly recognized and have the opportunity to be celebrated on Music’s Biggest Night.“
Will you step up to support Dallas Observer this year?
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If the Dallas Observer matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
Presenters for Friday’s nominations are a long list of past winners and notable names, including Angélique Kidjo, Brandi Carlile, CeCe Winans, Chappell Roan, David Foster, Doechii, Dr. Chelsey Green, Gayle King of CBS Mornings, Jon Batiste, KAROL G, Little Big Town, Lizzo, Masaki Koike, Mumford & Sons, Nicole Scherzinger, Sabrina Carpenter and Sam Smith.
Some of our predictions are the best new artist race could be down to Alex Warren, sombr, Olivia Dean, Leon Thomas, Lola Young and KATESEYE.
Kendrick Lamar’s GNX, Clipse’s Let God Sort Em Out and Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS are strong contenders for album of the year.
As far as record of the year, it could be HUNTR/X’s “Golden,” ROSÉ and Bruno Mars’ “APT.,” Kendrick and SZA’s “Luther” and Doechii’s “Anxiety.”
Below, see selections from this year’s nominees class as they’re unveiled.
