BashfortheWorld is coming back to Dallas, hoping to sell out another venue in his hometown.

In support of his new album, the Migo in America Tour will hit 30 cities and conclude on Saturday, Aug. 23, at The Bomb Factory. Bash, who we named Best Rapper and one of the top-ranked rappers in 2024, is an independent artist who has sold out Southside Ballroom twice. The Mexican-American rapper is best known for painting vivid scenes in songs like “Aztec Baby,” “Third World” and “Darkest Before Dawn,” which have millions of streams on Spotify.

We were in the building for his last hometown show on May 31, 2024, at Southside Ballroom. With his crew on stage and a raucous crowd ready to rap with him, the 26-year-old rapper walked out, business as usual, to Sade’s “Is It a Crime.” The atmosphere was exciting. Day one fans had their phones out recording every song, and others rapping to their favorites like “Face Card,” “Vida” and “50-0.” He did unreleased songs that night because it was so special. “I saved home for last. I’m sleeping in my bed tonight!” he said.

Throughout 2024, he focused on releasing singles like “Migo,” “On the Map” and “Bout It Bout It” featuring Roadrun Cmoe, promoting them through viral YouTube performances on notable hip-hop platforms On the Radar and 4 Shooters Only. He also dropped the video for “Crib in the Sky,” a rags-to-riches story of making it out of the trap, keeping his Mundo tracks in rotation.

Directed by Bladi, “Crib in the Sky” contains shots of the Dallas skyline and Reunion Tower in the background.

Last summer, he gave back to the community through his successful Back to School Drive with Adidas and Jarritos, giving away clothes for kids at Stevie Ray Vaughan Park in Cockrell Hill neighborhood in Oak Cliff.

He used 2024 to connect with his fans and fed his fanbase, leading to the release of Migo in America on May 5. The tour will be the first time fans can hear Migo in America songs live. On the album, he interpolates songs by Kanye West and Gorilla Zoe and gathers guest features from local artists like Arlington’s SSG Splurge on “Death B4 Dishonor” and “Wolfpack.” Oodaredevil, another Dallas rapper making waves in the Texas hip-hop scene who grew up idolizing Bun B and Pimp C of UGK, appears on “Problems & Answers” and “Tequila & Champagne.”

On “Cash Race,” Bash raps, “Migo so Triple D / I’m in Dallas more than CeeDee Lamb.” The bar is kinda funny, but it could rub Cowboys fans the wrong way, given their past season.

Tickets for the show, starting at $28, can be purchased here. Special guests include SSG Splurge, Tommy 2, DJ Bubba and more.
