On Friday night, Dallas native BigXthaPlug was arrested by Allen police on multiple charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of less than two ounces of marijuana and driving while intoxicated. The former is a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in county jail, and the latter two are Class B misdemeanors, punishable by up to six months in county jail. He is currently being held at Collin County Jail. No additional details are available as of publication.

In a statement to WFAA, Allen Police said, “At this time, we can confirm that an arrest has been made; however, we are unable to provide any additional details. This remains an active investigation.”

The record-breaking rapper, whose legal name is Xavier Landrum, was arrested almost a year ago to the day on similar charges. Last August, Dallas Police booked “The Largest” rapper on misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of a firearm just before he was slated to appear at a Deep Ellum release party for his country crossover record, “I Hope You’re Happy.” He posted a $5,000 bond and was released the next day. His case in Dallas County is still open.

Friday’s arrest comes after a busy summer for X here in North Texas. In May, he came home to Big D for his birthday bash show at Dos Equis Pavilion, and last month, he headlined a 10-day concert series at The Bomb Factory to celebrate the FIFA World Cup.
