BigXThaPlug and Shaboozey caused quite a commotion on June 17 when they shut down the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge to shoot a music video.

The video is for BigXThaPlug’s new single, “Home.” It’s out now, and you can watch it below.
BigXThaPlug and Shaboozey are budding collaborators in the country rap genre. The Dallas rapper was first featured on Shaboozey’s “Drink Don't Need No Mix” from 2024’s Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going. After BigX made “Texas,” Shaboozey said it made sense to feature him on the song because “Texas” had a country flavor to it. “He’s an artist I respect a lot,” Shaboozey said.

BigXThaPlug spoke about Shaboozey’s friendship as well, stating, “That’s my brother. Even with everything he got going on, it’s crazy to me. He looks at me like I’m a big artist. I look at him like he’s a huge artist,” he told Billboard.

Earlier this year, Shaboozey presented BigXThaPlug with the Country Innovator of the Year award in Nashville. While honoring him, he spoke about BigX not only breaking the mold, but “melting it down and making his own.” “X’s distinct tone, punchy delivery, raw storytelling ability and larger than life stage presence has made him become rap’s most recognizable newcomer,” Shaboozey said.

X brought his family up, and in his speech, he thanked everyone for motivating him to go harder. He teased the title of his upcoming country project, I Hope You’re Happy, which is slated to feature Shaboozey, Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, Luke Combs and Jelly Roll.

“Home” was first teased back in May, when a video showed BigX creating the song and calling Shaboozey to say, “It’s time.” The same lyrics appeared in the viral clip of the pair shooting their video on the bridge.
BigXThaPlug has consistently been dropping new music. He shared the video for “Life of a Boss,” one of the deluxe tracks off Take Care in May. This month, he was featured on Teddy Swims’ I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Complete Edition). You can listen to his song here in our inaugural Spotify playlist.

Shaboozey will be in Fort Worth on Oct. 9 at Billy Bob's for his Great American Roadshow Tour. Tickets are available on Billy Bob's website.
