What will the song of the summer be? If Dallas rapper BigXthaPlug and budding country star Bailey Zimmerman have it their way, that song has already been released.
The two collaborated on “All The Way,” a country/rap hybrid with a twangy hook and rap verses that are equal parts southern. The song details a heartbreak brought on by a lover: "Don't let me down easy, if you're gonna leave me, Baby, go and leave me all the way."
The tune debuted earlier this month at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Country list. Exclusive merch was also released specifically for the collaboration, including graphic T-shirts featuring a thick silver chain with a “BIGX” pendant and a thin golden chain that says “BV.”
BigX performed the song live at J. Cole’s Dreamville festival earlier this month, but left it off his Coachella setlist last weekend. It’s been a banner year for the rapper, who was also nominated for Best New Artist at the 2025 iHeart Radio Music Awards. On June 5, he’s set to perform a hometown show at American Airlines Center, opening for Lil Baby along with NLE Choppa and Loe Shimmy. From there, he goes straight to New York City for another high-profile set at Governor’s Ball.
Details are slim, but management is teasing “All The Way” as the soft launch into a new country project for BigXthaPlug. He’ll be the latest in a growing trend of Texas stars crossing over into country, following Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter and Post Malone’s F-1 Trillion, both released last year.
