The Majestic Theatre, a venue so classy we wouldn’t be surprised if it curtsied, pours some out for the homies this weekend when it welcomes the Powerballin’ Chingy and self-proclaimed thug Trick Daddy. Chingy, from St. Louis and proud of it, pimp-walked his way onto MTV a couple of years ago with spelling-challenged hits “Right Thurr” and “Holidae In,” and he’s been blinding us with his bling ever since. Hey, whatever works. After all, if you can’t baffle ’em with brilliance, dazzle ’em with diamonds. Expect less glitz from the older, and presumably wiser, Trick Daddy, a rapper who’s been around long enough to know how fast ice can melt.
