Keep Dallas Observer Free
We’re $1,500 away from our spring campaign goal!
We’re aiming to raise $10,000 by April 26. Your support ensures Dallas Observer can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
So, you can probably already tell this summer is going to be rough, right? Like, “Fireballs From the Sky” b/w “Heat Gusts From Hell.” Enjoy that breeze while you can.
With that in mind, the Observer, Spune and Dan’s Silverleaf have partnered up for a concert series that actually puts you on a boat, on Lake Lewisville, with some of your favorite artists. Billed as Float, the inaugural concert happens Sunday, May 27, and is headlined by the great Ray Wylie Hubbard. Let me type that again: mother-effin’ Ray Wylie Hubbard on a boat. Plus, James McMurtry, Wayne Hancock, Michael Donner & the Southern Renaissance, The O’s and Grant Jones & the Pistol Grip Lassos.
Two more Floats are scheduled for July 4th weekend and Labor Day weekend. Visit the site for more info and tickets.
