Meltdown Music Festival, the enormous EDM festival happening this Saturday, has just announced a venue switch, from QuickTrip Park in Grand Prairie to LaGrave Field in Fort Worth. In a release posted on the fest's web site, organizers cite fewer restrictions on sound and the opportunity to go later as reasons to make the last-minute change.
From the announcement:
"Making a switch away from QuikTrip Park was a difficult decision considering the great show of support from the Park's representatives and the fact Meltdown is only a few days away," explained Evan Bailey, Meltdown Music Festival spokesperson. "However, showcasing Meltdown in the most fitting setting for the fans and artists is what led us to the change. We are honored by the generosity LaGrave Field has shown us in allowing use of their facility and we are excited to hold the event in a venue with best possible setting for live music. Our first priority is always to create the best atmosphere for the fans, artists and the communities we operate in."
The lineup for this year's fest includes a DJ set from Justice, Flux Pavilion, 12 Planet, Adventure Club, Bro Safari and more. Tickets are $74 for general admission and $104 for VIP.
