Turns out, the Fort Worth Music Festival isn’t the only multiple-day music event taking place this weekend. As the above poster shows, there’s plenty of action taking place on this side of Arlington, too.
All day long on Saturday and Sunday, Bryan Street Tavern, which is fast improving its reputation and becoming known as one of the more comfortable venues in town, will host a whole slew of bands on two stages — one inside the venue and one outside on the bar’s sweet back patio. (Get your tickets here.)
The poster promoting the event does a pretty solid job, too; it lists the starting and ending time of the event, the venue (including the address, nice touch) and a Texas-fied, St. Pauli Girl-like character catching a ping pong ball in a glass and winking about it. Most important, it lists all the bands performing — and there are a lot.
It’s a simple enough looking design, but getting all that info onto a page without making it look cluttered is no joke. And I can tell you for a fact that this poster is effective: With these things hanging on the walls above the urinals in the men’s room at the bar, they’re tough not to notice.
