Show Announcements: John Mayer, Owl City, Yeahdef, Pixies, Toadies, Aerosmith, Goo Goo Dolls, Kenny Rogers and others

John Mayer is getting old. His music is getting old. His fans are getting old. His public image is getting old.

In an apparent attempt to get some younger fans, someone over at John Mayer headquarters had the bright idea to book teen sensation Owl City as the opening act on Mayer's upcoming tour, which includes a Saturday, September 4, stop at Center.

Let's just hope they don't do a duet.

Tickets are available now at; they'll cost you $69 for a chair and $30 for the lawn.

On the far other side of the spectrum, favorite area DJ Yeahdef and Femme Fatale are planning a World Cup Soccer kick-off party at The Cavern on Friday, June 11.

Loads more shows after the jump.
