It’s a little strange, but I don’t know what’s happening with all of the show announcements that have been pouring in this week: Limp Bizkit, Matchbox 20, Goo Goo Dolls and Kid Rock? It feels like 1999 all over again.

Well, in 2013 news, Good Records just announced a kick-ass local lineup for Record Store Day in a couple of weeks. And then there are a few other gems to fill in the gaps. Check it out. Editor: Also, Titus Freaking Andronicus!

Good Records Sixth Annual Record Store Day Saturday, April 20, at Good Records, Free On top of the beautiful, hallowed Record Store Day, Good Records will be celebrating it’s 13th birthday, complete with limited releases, refreshments and of course 16 kick-ass bands: Shinyribs, The Relatives, Myopic, Bashe, Blackstone Rangers, Whiskey Folk Ramblers, Cutter, A.Dd+, Vulgar Fashion, War Party, Datahowler, Dark Rooms and Unconscious Collective. Track Meet DJ Crew will be spinning in the parking lot all day.

Styx, REO Speedwagon, Ted Nugent Tuesday, May 7, at Verizon Theatre Apparently when the three amigos–Styx, REO Speedwagon and Ted Nugent–got together for last year’s debut of “The Midwest Rock ‘n Roll Express” tour, it was so successful that the Midwestern boys decided to do it again. If you’re a fan and you missed it last time, here’s your shot.

Titus Andronicus, The So So Glos Wednesday, May 8, at Three Links, $12 These two Northeastern punk bands are as thick as thieves, and are headed back on the road together since 2009, for their “Bring Back the Dudes” tour. As Parade of Flesh’s first time booking the new venue Three Links, since the venue’s transition from La Grange, they’ve planned a lot of rowdy for one small room.

Spooky Folk Farewell Show Monday, May 13, at Dan’s Silverleaf, $7 OK, so, this is sad news. Folk-pop indie quintet Spooky Folk are going to be taking a bit of a hiatus so that lead singer Kaleo Kaualoku can complete some pretty big “M’s” in life: marriage and moving. The destination is Denver, the duration of hiatus unknown. Le sigh.

Limp Bizkit Tuesday, May 28, at House of Blues, $30-$45 Fred Durst has come a long way since the days when he did it all for the nookie; He’s a full-fledged director now with two kids and a 42-year-old’s balding spot. But that won’t stop him from dropping another album, Stampede of the Disco Elephants, on Cash Money Records. Just a couple weeks ago Limp Bizkit released the album’s single, which features Lil Wayne.

Chvrches Thursday, June 6, at Granada Theater, $15 Scottish electro-pop band Chvrches may just be my new favorite band, for this reason alone.

Kid Rock Saturday, July 20, at Gexa Energy Pavilion, $20 Detroiter Kid Rock just announced a massive “$20 Best Night Ever” U.S. summer tour with $20 tickets in all sections and amazing deals for fans of the rocker-turned-rapper-turned-country-star. He’s hitting all of the genres at this point, so surely he’s got a little something in the bank for everyone.
