In April, we attended a raucous Amyl and the Sniffers show at House of Blues, where we boldly proclaimed that we might be in a new golden age for punk music, and made reference to fellow Aussie hardcore band, Speed, and Baltimore’s everyman heroes, Turnstile.

Turnstile announced the Never Enough Tour, with special guests Amyl and the Sniffers and Speed, plus punk stalwarts Mannequin Pussy, Blood Orange and Jane Remover. Can we take credit for manifesting this?

Their North American tour kicks off on Sept. 15 in Nashville at The Pinnacle, making its way to North Texas on Oct. 16 with a date at Panther Island Pavillion in Fort Worth, which will feature Speed, Amyl and Jane Remover. General ticket sales will begin on Friday, June 13. You can sign up for more information on their website.

The announcement comes after a recent groundswell of attention for Turnstile, who released a new album, Never Enough, on Friday along with an accompanying concert film or “visual album” that premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. In May, the band brought thousands to Wyman Park Dell in Baltimore for a free show, raising money for Healthcare for the Homeless. Today’s tour announcement is the cherry on top of a perfectly coordinated month.

Punk scenes, to equal parts detriment and benefit, are often scattered in small “if you know you know” pockets across the world. It keeps things hip but maintains a low ceiling (literally, depending on the venue) for otherwise great bands that never get the chance to make their significant mark on broad music culture.

All that to say, a joint tour of this combined punk magnitude is virtually unheard of, especially being three bands in their youth and on the rise. This will be one for the history books, don't miss out.
