Over in Unfair Park a few weeks ago, Robert briefly introduced everyone to Dallas' newest media company (one that I've done some work for), Youplusdallas.com.
Well, while we were probably having a little too much fun at the Dallas Observer Music Awards ceremony last Tuesday night, they were there filming the whole shindig, and they've documented the event with a really cool video by my brother-in-law, Justin Ransom. Unfortunately, we can't embed the dang thing at DC9, but check it out here.
The video features clips of just about every mashup and pit performance, as well as loads of fan shots, interviews with our own Pete Freedman, Ishi, Air Review and a professional wresting trash-talk moment with Scott from WarBeast. Even old Robert chimes in. Chances are, if you were at the party, you're probably in the video.
Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
