Weekend Roundup: The O's, Dom. Kennedy, Reel Big Fish, Hey Monday

The O's at AllGood Café on Friday, July 24Foot stomping, banjo picking and two good 'ol boys screaming heartache? I'm absolutely loving this duo. You may notice Willie Nelson keeping a close eye on The O's during this set.....

Dom. Kennedy at The Lounge on Elm Street on Saturday, July 25

I'm sure this awkward-acting girl is glad she's pixilated, but how cool is Dom. Kennedy for embarrassing and then serenading an audience member during the song "Prototype" at this show? Couldn't find a vid on my favorite song, "Notorious DOM," though--comment if you can find a live version! Wonder if he went back to L.A. with a free pair of Adikt shoes from this anniversary event...

Reel Big Fish at The Palladium Ballroom on Sunday, July 26
Ska isn't what it used to be back in the day when bands like The Wailing Wailers, The Specials and Madness began blaring their brass horns and upstroking their guitars. But I guess a crowd of hyperactive teens and 30-year-old stoners could be in to that? Eh...I probably would have skanked with them too...

Hey Monday at The Door on Thursday, July 23
Not sure if Hey Monday or--for that matter--anyone in the line up at this show is up my alley. But leopard print guitars are kinda cool, right?
