Last night, the cover for XXL Magazine‘s fourth annual “Freshmen Issue” leaked, revealing a picture of Oak Cliff rapper Lil Twist along with 10 other young hip-hop artists that the prominent hip-hop magazine has its eye on in 2011.
At 18, Twist is already the youngest member of Lil Wayne‘s Young Money Entertainment Label, and thanks to a handful of guest appearances on a few of Lil Wayne’s recordings, it seems Twist is quickly gaining notoriety in the hip hop scene.
He’s also gaining quite a bit of buzz leading up to the release of his debut record, Don’t Get It Twisted, which doesn’t appear to have an official release date yet. But the young rapper has confirmed that the record will include guest appearances from Drake, Nicki Manaj and other members of the Young Money Entertainment family.
It won’t be his first collaboration with other members of Young Money Entertainment, though. He was already showcased on the We Are Young Money compilation release.
