YouTube Success Story Melissa Polinar at the Truck Yard: Live Performance and Interview

In another age, North Texan Melissa Polinar might still be sitting at a desk in Nashville, churning out songs for other artists to record. She did that, in fact, for a while in the early 2000s. But when you're a gifted writer and you have a voice like hers (that voice!), you don't need to wait your turn anymore. So she didn't: She returned home and started posting her songs on YouTube, where she has now amassed over 60,000 subscribers.

The latest to be featured in our Busking Series with Globe Trek Productions, Polinar took some time to talk about love, happiness and success as an independent artist with our own Morgan Chadwick. Watch the video below:
