Zillionaire Doe Drops Second Mixtape Since Signing to Yo Gotti’s CMG Records

Zillionaire Doe has shared his second project since signing with Yo Gotti’s CMG Records back in January.

On Friday, Aug. 15, Doe released Mr. 14 Months, which featured guest appearances by Lil Dann (“Jail Calls”), Montana 700 (“Texas Boyz”) and his CMG Zillionaire boss Yo Gotti (“Back to the South”).

In the lead-up to the mixtape’s release, Doe's Aug. 5 message was one of resilience. He talked about the good and the bad, overcoming adversity to emerge from poverty with his head held high. He alluded to federal agents raiding his neighborhood, robbing him and his people of everything they worked hard for.

Videos circulated online of a raid happening in South Dallas back in February, but it wasn’t confirmed by federal agents that it was in Doe’s neighborhood. A Feb. 28 press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office stated eight gang members were arrested in an ATF-led “Operation Blue Laces,” which occurred in the Wheatley Place neighborhood.

In his second message on release day, he stated, “Free Da Prince.” “I hate the person who believed in me and told me I would have overnight success ain’t here to celebrate these moments,” he wrote. “To all my day one supporters, fans, family, team, thanks for believing in me when I ain’t believe in myself.”

Alongside the release of Mr. 14 Months, Doe shared the video for his remix of “Back to the South” that samples Lil Wayne and Birdman’s “Stuntin' Like My Daddy.” With cameos by New Dallas rappers Hustleman Quise, Montana 700, HeadHuncho Amir and Himothy Chung, Doe brings Gotti into his world. “I just left NorthPark, I'ma head back to the South,” he raps.

On signing to Gotti, Doe told the Observer, “To have somebody of his caliber to believe in you, it is priceless. It's worth more than $1 million to know that someone like him believes in me. That gives me all the confidence in the world, all the confidence that I need.”

Gotti delivers a verse that is straight-to-the-point, rapping about the ICE raids: “I need to speak to Trump / I need to let him know that ICE is slowing up the plug / I need a favor cause I still been trying to run it up / I need you to open up them borders and let my people flood.”
