A major tip o' the yarmulke to Avi Adelman, who, in advance of a July 29 meeting called by council member Angela Hunt, just posted a draft of the proposed ordinance that would turn Lower Greenville into a Planned Development District. Avi got the doc today via an open-records request from the city.

We've written about this proposal quite a bit recently, but the piece with which Avi's most interested, of course, has to do with the kinds of businesses that would not be permitted within the PDD even with specific use permits: "alcoholic beverage establishments" and those with "commercial amusement (inside)." Daniel's supposed to talk to Hunt today about this, so, fingers crossed, more to come shortly.
